 I've been playing around with draft scenarios for a few weeks now, and this is the first one that I am confident enough in to publish. Basically, I took into consideration player rankings and team needs from multiple sources, as well as my own opinions and knowledge about the teams and their needs. Some of the source I used were ESPN.com (including the Scouts. Inc rankings, Mel Kiper's rankings, and Todd McShay's rankings), Drafttek.com (which is very useful for determing team needs), NFL.com's prospect rankings, and CBSSports.com's prospect rankings.

 Hey guys, this is my 3rd Mock Draft in the last 3 years. I'm currently a senior at the University of Maine with a major in Sports Journalism. I've been following the NFL Draft for some time now, and I have been pretty spot on over my time predicting both pick accuracy and the production a prospect will have for his given team. Hopefully you will find my mock draft both enjoyable and helpful. Comments, criticism, insight, etc. are all welcome and encouraged. Let's get to it.

 This my 2012 mock draft. It's been a crazy year in both the pros and in college. This draft looks like it will be a good one. The draft contracts are finally under control now, which will make for a lot of high stakes trades. This is where I think all the teams will go in the 1st round. I'm probably going to be wrong but then again, even the experts never get the 1st round right.

Come on! You didn't know the Falcons were going to fling 5 picks at the Browns last year for Julio Jones. No one did! 

So here goes nothin!

This is my third year on the debacle, I do a draft not by saying who should be the pick but who I think the pick will be by looking at a teams history and appraoches. In other words this isn't who I think should be the pick but who I think it will  be. I don't do trades, because it often feels like a cheap way to make the mock fall nicer. I will comment were I think trades could occur, but there will be no trades in this mock. Feel free to comment, I  often adapt based on comments because no one knows a team better than their fans. I hope you enjoy and lets try not to troll.

 Here is my 2012 mock draft, i will update after each round of the playoffs and then every 2 weeks following the combine.
